Nigerian government is working to improve electricity distribution

Following the challenges that have plagued the power industry since the not too recent privatisation exercise, Babatunde Fashola,  the minister of Power, Works and Housing has revealed that the government has plans to improve electricity distribution throughout the nation.

A recovery structure has been put in place in order to solve the challenges, hence bringing about the development and whole turnaround of the power sector. One of the challenges highlighted was power distribution, despite the fact that electricity generation and transmission has greatly increased. One reason for this improvement is due to the emergence of private independent power companies.
